Why I built it
I was laid off and spent months sending applications. Almost none of them went anywhere. The conversations that did go somewhere all started with a person I already knew.
So I built a tool for my own search. It takes the connections file LinkedIn lets you download and ranks every person in it. For each one it tells me why they are on the list, and it drafts a short note that I send myself.
It looks at my whole network, including people at companies with nothing posted right now. Those people can still tell me who is hiring in their org.
I want to find out whether other people would use this before I build it for anyone else. If you are in a search and this sounds useful, leave your email and I will let you know when you can try it!
